Vile Parle East

Vile Parle East is a locality in the northern part of Mumbai. It is one of the well developed area of Mumbai. The name derives from two temples Virleshwar and Parleshwar. It is home to the first factory of the popular biscuits manufacturer, Parle. Vile Parle is divided into two parts Vile Parle East and Vile Parle West separated by the Western Railway Line. Vile Parle east is one of the most popular localities of Mumbai. Presently, it is one of the most important hubs for education. This locality is surrounded by other localities like Vasant Vihar and Sindhi Colony. The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport’s domestic terminal is located in Vile Parle.

Vile Parle is a Railway Station on the Western and Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. The nearest railway stations to Vile Parle are Santacruz and Andheri on the Western Line which is located at a distance of 7 and 3.5 km respectively via Western Express Highway and Sahar Road. Other nearby railway stations are santacruz, Andheri, Western Express Highway, Chakala, and Khar. The distance from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport to Vile Parle east is 0.5 kilometres via Nehru Road. Transport service is also good in the locality as there are several bus stops which help Vile Parle East to connect with other parts of the city. Line 1 of the Mumbai Metro, also referred to as the Versova-Andheri-Ghatkopar (VAG) corridor, is part of the metro system of Mumbai. This 11.40 km line is fully elevated, and consists of 12 stations from Versova to Ghatkopar. The line connects the eastern and western suburbs of Mumbai. The nearby Metro station to Vile Parle East is Western Express Highway which is located at a distance of 2.9 km via Cardinal Gracious Road and Chakala Road. It also has good connectivity to some of the nearby areas of Vile Parle East such as Bandra to Vile Parle east is 8.9 km, from Vikhroli to Vile Parle east is 15.5 km via Chembur Link Road, and from Andheri east to Vile Parle east is 4.3 kilometres via Chakala Road.
